This is everything you want out of a Metal Album. And not just in Death Metal, but in general. If anyone would ask me how Metal should sound, that‘s a record I would show them.
The sound is straight forward Old School Death Metal as you would expect it in the late 90‘s. Crushing Riffs, brutal vocals and harmonic parts that show their influences from Hard Rock and Thrash Metal.
The lyrics are focused on human downfalls and social injustice, just as personal struggles and self destruction.
The vocals are always on point and don‘t show a single weakness point.
Tue Madsen is delivering a brilliant production that leaves no room for compromises. Powerful and nuanced it delivers a great mix of old school Death Metal and the modern Metal sound.
Compared to their previous works, Baest are carving their own unique turn on Death Metal.
Old School, but always at the pulse of time.
The Heavy influences make the a standout amongst other Death Metal Bands of the Decade.
For me this album is an absolute no brainer.
Listen to it and you will understand, why this record will be amongst a ton of top 10 lists this year.
